Geophilic Mod (1.19.4, 1.19.2)
Created by bebebea_loste
Introducing the Geophilic Mod (1.19.4; 1.19.2), a subtle and straightforward enhancement to select vanilla Overworld biomes, inspired by unused illustrations for the Wild Update. This mod serves as an effortless drop-in improvement, elevating the biomes without adding new blocks, items, or even biomes.
The primary modifications in the Geophilic Mod involve adjusting the rarity and density of specific biome features, such as grass, ferns, and flowers. Additionally, new elements are incorporated, including fallen trees, moss, tree stumps, bushes, and occasionally, unique tree types. Despite these additions, most trees remain almost entirely vanilla, with height adjustments to naturally occurring trees ensuring a comfortable traversal experience.
Designed as a simple and appealing update to vanilla biomes, this mod does not aim to be a grand terrain overhaul. Instead, it seeks to modernize the biomes' atmosphere to meet the new standard without feeling out of place. Notably, the Geophilic Mod does not alter Overworld terrain generation, ensuring compatibility with other mods and data packs that do, such as Terralith. Furthermore, this mod is fully server-side.
Currently, the Geophilic Mod encompasses the following biomes: Taiga, Birch Forest, Old Growth Birch Forest, Desert, Flower Forest, Forest, Swamp, Windswept Forest, and Windswept Hills. Each biome receives unique enhancements to create a more immersive and aesthetically pleasing environment.
- Taiga: Witness the increased density and variety of vegetation, including moss, bushes, and fallen trees.
- Birch Forest and Old Growth Birch Forest: Experience the improved distribution of grass, ferns, and flowers, along with the occasional fallen tree and bush.
- Desert: Discover the enhanced cacti generation and the inclusion of fallen trees and bushes for a more realistic desert environment.
- Flower Forest: Enjoy the enriched abundance of flowers and the presence of tree stumps, moss, and bushes.
